Two goals and two assists in his first seven La Liga games for Real Sociedad have made Martin Odegaard quite the hot property. And according to The Sun, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are all interested in the 20-year-old Norwegian. And what’s more, they apparently believe they will be able to sign him for just £25m next summer, which seems a ridiculous sum considering the boy has created more chances than any other player in La Liga this season.

The report goes on to suggest that Arsenal are ‘hoping he can be a long-term replacement for flop Mesut Ozil’. We suspect that Arsenal will have to pay more than £25m for any long-term replacement for ‘flop’ Ozil, who once logged 19 Premier League assists in a single season.

Well you wouldn’t blame them.

According to The Times, ‘Tottenham Hotspur fear that a disillusioned Harry Kane could join the growing list of senior players who want to leave in the summer’. Well, they would fear that. But does he actually want to leave? Well that is less clear. At the moment it just seems like a ‘fear’. They go on to say that ‘Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid have shown interest in the past’. Well they would, because he scores A Lot Of Goals.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail claim that ‘Tottenham players fear manager Mauricio Pochettino is looking for a way out of the north London club’. So much fear around. Apparently, Pochettino ‘has become noticeably distant’. Is he also taking his phone to the toilet? Is he having an affair?

‘West Ham have slapped an £80m price tag on midfield sensation Declan Rice,’ write the Daily Star while we all stop to wonder if a defensive midfielder can ever be a ‘sensation’. We say no. Manchester United are obviously said to be interested, because of course they are.

‘Starsport understands West Ham will demand the mouth-watering fee for their defensive midfielder’s services,’ continues the report. We suspect they mean ‘eye-watering’, unless fees really can be delicious and taste a little bit like caramel.
