Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not played in the Champions League since leaving Borussia Dortmund for Arsenal in January of 2018.

The German club’s CEO has spoken about the player’s move away from the club, arguing that there’s more to life than money.

Aubameyang, who is doing really well at Arsenal, is probably happy when he looks at his bank account, but on Wednesday he’ll have to watch the Champions League on television and I’m sure that will make him sad,” Hans-Joachim Watzke said in an interview with Suddeustche Zeitung.

Aubameyang has played in the Europa League with Arsenal in each of the past two seasons, reaching the final last campaign.
