Barcelona vs Real Madrid Loaded calendars for both teams
In the absence of official confirmation, everything indicates that the first derby of the season between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be moved to December 18.
Although the final decision is yet to be taken, the aforementioned date could best suit the two teams, despite coinciding with Copa del Rey games.
Moreover, both clubs have to play demanding matches prior the current Clasico date, with the last matchday of the Champions League group stage set to kick off eight days before the suggested date.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Barcelona will participate in the new Supercopa de Espana, which will have a Final Four format and will be disputed at the beginning of the next calendar year.
Ernesto Valverde‘s men visit Inter on December 10 before playing at the Reale Arena against Real Sociedad five days later, which would be just three days before the derby.
Barcelona‘s last game of the year will take place at the Camp Nou against Alaves, while 2020 will kick off with a Catalan derby at Espanyol.
The Supercopa de Espana will follow, with the participation of the Blaugrana, Los Blancos, Atletico Madrid and Valencia.
Zinedine Zidane‘s side will play at Club Brugge on December 11 and a visit at Mestalla will follow four days later, while they will face Athletic Club at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu before the end of 2019.
The new year will see them travelling to Getafe and then take part in the Supercopa de Espana, which could take place in Saudi Arabia.
