Paolo Scaroni has stated that ‘we must not look at the past, but we must look at the future’ as he talked of the new stadium project of Milan and Inter.
Milan and Inter had an event on Thursday to present the two projects for the New Milano Stadium. A new 60k-seaster stadium and an entirely new district in the San Siro area is in the works, but it first needs to be approved by the authorities.
“It’s a great event, with more than 200 people attending, there was of course the dean of Politecnico hosting the event who is a supporter of our project, something that pleases me a lot,” Milan President Paolo Scaroni told MilanTV.
“Together with Inter’s CEO, we’ve explained the concepts of the two projects which we presented. We have unveiled a project that saw us involved for a year and my first impression is that it did draw the attention of the people in the room. I am extremely fond of San Siro, but it has had its time, and we mustn’t look at the past, but we must look at the future and this is what I am trying to achieve.
“The public awareness and city politics? We have started talks with city officials, we are making every effort both from a bureaucratic perspective, both by meeting the city council leader, and the municipality committees, explaining the projects and answering all the questions.
“I really hope that Milano won’t turn down such an amazing project, a plan to redevelop the San Siro area and to give the city of Milano the best stadium in the world. I don’t think that my fellow citizens will turn down this amazing opportunity.”
