Real Mallorca vs Real Madrid Hazard, Lucas, Modric and Bale unavailable
Real Mallorca host Real Madrid at Son Moix in the late kick-off on Saturday, with Los Blancos needing a win to return to top spot in LaLiga Santander after Barcelona‘s victory at Eibar.
It is worth remembering that Zinedine Zidane‘s side remain unbeaten in LaLiga Santander this season, having won five games and drawn three, but the international break has seen the Frenchman lose three of his players to injury, so Mallorca will be looking to take advantage.
Lucas Vazquez, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale did not take part in Real Madrid‘s final training session before traveling to Palma and were therefore not included in the squad list, while Eden Hazard has had to withdraw from playing as his fourth child is set to be born.
There is some positive news, though, as Raphael Varane and Thibaut Courtois have both returned, while Toni Kroos is making progress in his recovery from injury, although there is still no date for his return.
Zidane has gone for one of his more attacking line-ups in recent memory, deciding to play Casemiro as the holding midfielder with five attacking-minded players in front of him: Isco and James Rodriguez in midfield, with a front three of Vinicius Junior, Karim Benzema and Luka Jovic.
Real Mallorca‘s line-up: Manolo Reina; Joan Sastre, Martin Valjent, Antonio Raillo, Fran Gamez, Baba Rahman; Aleix Febas, Salva Sevilla; Dani Rodriguez, Ante Budimir, Lago Junior.
Real Mallorca‘s bench: Fabricio, Xisco Campos, Lumor, Marc Pedraza, Takefusa Kubo, Aleksandar Trajkovski, Abdon.
Real Madrid‘s line-up: Thibaut Courtois; Alvaro Odriozola, Eder Militao, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo; Isco, Casemiro, James Rodriguez; Vinicius Junior, Karim Benzema, Luka Jovic.
Real Madrid‘s bench: Alphonse Areola, Raphael Varane, Ferland Mendy, Fede Valverde, Brahim Diaz, Rodrygo Goes, Mariano Diaz.
