“Every product in this kit will help address those needs. Not only will you experience a noticeable reduction in dark marks, but your skin will be healthier overall.” –HeyAprill
Brief background on how we got here:
Back in January, I had the opportunity to be whisked away to sunny (and freakishly warm) Arizona to meet the PCA Skin team. In addition to meeting the team, I was given the opportunity to learn the day to day operations of the brand and discover their full line of products, and their professional products used by estheticians only. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip because it didn’t feel like I was being positioned to be a walking ad for the brand. I learned in depth about the skin and how the products they create help.
Fast forward to spring- I receive a call from the PCA Skin team saying that they would love for me to curate a skincare starter kit, featuring existing products from PCA Skin, to tackle hyperpigmentation. I was excited, but I had to keep my composure, and think long and deep about what would be included in the kit……
……no I didnt.
I knew from the very start what I wanted in this 5 piece kit- products that are going to destroy skin discoloration. Let’s check out who made it to the kit, shall we? Introducing, Hey Aprill’s Pigment Perfecters
I picked this cleanser because there’s a little bit of all the good stuff you want and need in a cleanser. Lactic acid, aloe, and willow bark are all combined to gently cleanse, hydrate and soothe skin. This cleanser is thorough enough on its own to get the job done without even needing a toner.
I picked C & E Strenth because Vitamin C & E is a must have in everyone’s routine. Vitamin C brightens the skin, Vitamin E fades dark marks and both vitamins in tandem provide the skin with anti-oxidant protection. This one is 15%, C & E Max is 20%. Apply this after your Hyaluronic Acid Serum, but before SPF.
Hydroquinone is the gold standard when it comes to fading dark marks and preventing new ones from forming. PCA Skin Pigment Gel features this liquid gold ingredient to eliminate discoloration. Apply a thin layer to the affected area.
Reduce skin discloration and skin yellowing, increase skin cell turnover and brighten your complexion with this super blend of retinol (0.5%), reservatol, niacinamide and hexylresorcinol. I picked this one because PCA Skin taught me my ABC’s for healthy skin, and the “A” stands for Vitamin A, aka Retinol. If you are new to retinol, apply this at night, 2x a week.
I picked this SPF because you get your UVA/UVB protection without the white cast, making this product perfect if you have a deeper skin tone. This SPF is also super duper weightless and melts into the skin instantly.
You get a 7-10 day supply of everything mentioned here, in addition to a cute card with my face on it for $50! Order directly from PCASkin.com.
