A further announcement on Newcastle United Live TV matches was scheduled for Friday (11 October 2019).
Already nine Newcastle games have been scheduled for live broadcast with dates/times confirmed.
Friday though was the scheduled day when the football authorities had said we should find out which Premier League matches have been chosen by BT Sport and Sky Sports for live broadcast in December and January,
The 10 games under threat of a change in date/time are:
Tuesday 3 – Sheff United v Newcastle 7.45pm
Saturday 7 – Newcastle v Southampton 3pm
Saturday 14 – Burnley v Newcastle 3pm
Sat 21 – Newcastle v Crystal Palace 3pm
Thursday 26 – Man Utd v Newcastle United 3pm
Sat 28 – Newcastle v Everton 3pm
Wed 1 – Newcastle v Leicester 3pm
Sat 11 – Wolves v Newcastle 3pm
Sat 18 – Newcastle v Chelsea 3pm
Tue 21 – Everton v Newcastle 7.45pm
We do know for sure that at least two of the games in December will be shown on live TV, as Amazon Prime are showing two full rounds of PL games. The away games at Sheffield United (3 December) and Man Utd (26 December) but with no final confirmation of dates/times so far, there is still a small chance of the Sheff Utd match being moved to another day in that midweek and a change of time for the Man Utd match, as it is reported that Amazon could spread kick-off times on Boxing Day to give themselves more exposure.
Before the season kicked off, these were the dates stated for when live TV games could/should be announced:
Friday 11 October 2019 for Dec 2019/Jan 2020 live TV games.
Friday 13 December 2019 for Feb 2020 live TV games.
Friday 24 January 2020 for Mar 2020 live TV games.
Friday 21 February 2020 for April 2020 live TV games.
Friday 3 April 2020 for May 2020 live TV games.
Monday 11 May 2020 for 17 May 2020 (final round of games)
However, no announcement from the Premier League, Sky Sports and BT Sport on Friday or over the weekend, just like that delay last month.
As usual, a total disrespect for football fans, including Newcastle supporters.
Newcastle fans have further to travel to away games over a season than any other Premier League fanbase.
As much notice as possible allows Newcastle fans to book the best travel options (and accommodation) possible, at the best possible prices.
Every extra day that goes by potentially makes arrangements more difficult and expensive.
