Barcelona vs Inter Scored after two minutes
Lautaro Martinez took two minutes to show the Camp Nou what he’s all about, amid interest from Barcelona.
The Argentine ran through on goal before slotting past Marc-Andre ter Stegen to put Inter 1-0 ahead in their Champions League group stage match on Wednesday.
He almost netted a second later in the first half, but his powerful header was saved down low by Ter Stegen.
Lautaro‘s performance showed exactly why Barcelona were linked with him in the summer, with his agent having previously confirmed the Blaugrana‘s interest.
“No one has called us, but we know there are strong rumours which is true on Barcelona‘s part,” Beto Yaque, Lautaro‘s agent, told Radio Rivadivia.
“There’s a bit of interest which is true.”
The 22-year-old worked well with Lionel Messi in the Argentina attack at this summer’s Copa America and the Barcelona captain would welcome his compatriot at the Camp Nou.
Lautaro has scored once in Serie A this season and has assumed a larger responsibility in the attack following Mauro Icardi‘s departure, while he is also benefitting from Antonio Conte‘s coaching at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
