Barcelona Wanted a gesture of support

Barcelona released a statement on Monday condemning the ruling from the supreme court that sentenced nine Catalan political leaders to jail terms between nine and 13 years, but former president Joan Laporta isn’t happy with it.
He wanted the club to go further and to offer greater support to the prisoners and their families.
“The Barcelona statement is not very committed,” Laporta wrote on Twitter in response.
“It distorts reality.
“It doesn’t speak about political prisoners and it’s not complete because it doesn’t announce any gesture of support for the political prisoners and their families.”
El comunicat del @FCBarcelona_cat s poc comproms. Falsejant la realitat no parla de presos poltics, i s incomplet perqu no anuncia cap acte o gest de suport als #presospolitics i a les seves famlies.#SentenciaProces#Barahttps://t.co/XTvUmuUANw
