Ibrahimovic accuses Sweden coach of marginalising immigrant-origin players

Sweden The legendary forward isn’t happy

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has accused Sweden coach Jan Andersson of overlooking the country’s players who are of immigrant origin.

Ibrahimovic hasn’t played for his country since the 2016 European Championship, though he did hint at a return ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

“His first call, what happened?” Ibrahimovic asked.

“How many with other backgrounds were included? None.

“He was asked about it and he whined. Then he called up some the next time to be politically correct.”

Twenty percent of Sweden‘s population have a foreign origin, and the 38-year-old believes Andersson is moving the national team backwards.
