When you think of the fastest strikers in Premier League history a few names may come to mind.
The likes of Thierry Henry, Jamie Vardy, Fernando Torres and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would all be fair shouts.

Gabriel Agbonlahor would also be a good choice, but one former Aston Villa man who probably doesn’t belong on that list is Chris Sutton… sorry Chris.
However, the former Blackburn forward clearly thinks otherwise as he’s claimed that his pace was right up there with the best of them.

It seems that Sutton was slightly overrating his own speed, and the replies to his tweet make for funny reading as many football fans shot down the idea of him being one of the quickest attackers in Premier League history.
Villa’s worst signing?
That isn’t to say that Sutton wasn’t a fantastic striker, but we feel his tongue-in-cheek comment may be even farther wide of the mark than he realised.
