Real Madrid Candid about playing style
With Real Madrid top of LaLiga Santander, key midfielder Casemiro has admitted that food inspires one of his main attributes.
The Brazilian has a no nonsense attitude on the park which helps drive Los Blancos forward and there is a simple reason for that being the case.
“I’m aggressive in how I go for the ball,” Casemiro said on Movistar+.
“I don’t care if it’s the second or 90th minute, I always go for the ball like I am going for a plate of food.
“I always go for a ball as if it were my last.”
Somewhat surprising comments, but Casemiro was candid about his relationship with Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane and how the Frenchman reassured him when he first took over.
“I remember when Zidane came,” Casemiro went on. “I didn’t play in the first five games and I said to myself ‘what’s going on? He has always said good things about me.’
“So I went to his office, and said ‘coach it’s January, I want to have a leading role, I want to play.’
“And I remember exactly what he said to me. ‘Case, calm down. When you start playing, you won’t stop’.”
