Real Madrid were able to hold on against Granada and they won 4-2, but they once again suffered in front of their home fans and Dani Carvajal discussed this afterwards.

He compared the win to recent 3-2 victory over Levante, when Real Madrid again raced into a three-goal lead and then struggled.

“We have to correct this way of closing out matches at home,” Carvajal said afterwards.

“If we continue like this and don’t fix in then points will end up being dropped next time.

“It also happened against Levante and it has happened again.

“The feeling of winning 3-0 and then suffering isn’t a sign of reliability.

“We have to be more convincing.

“But, we go into the break as leaders and we know the path to follow.”

Carvajal had to play this match at left-back due to the injuries of Marcelo and Ferland Mendy and spoke about this differing role.

“We had two left-backs injured, but I had already played there on occasion,” he said of the change in position.

“I could have scored in the first half and I’m happy with the performance.”

The Spaniard also discussed Eden Hazard’s first goal.

“I’m happy for Hazard,” he said.

“He is working well and getting better and better.”
