Neither Diego Costa nor Vitolo participated in Atletico Madrid‘s training on Friday, ahead of their game against Real Valladolid.

The former Chelsea striker asked for permission to miss the session due to personal reasons, while the Spaniard is still recovering from a left thigh injury.

Costa will be available for Sunday’s game, whereas the decision on whether Vitolo will travel with the rest of his teammates to Valladolid will be taken on Saturday.

Friday’s training session consisted of passing and finishing drills, as Diego Simeone aims to prepare his players for the match against Sergio Gonzalez’s side.
