Barcelona vs Inter Believes the win will give Barcelona confidence
Arthur Melo has come out and stated that he did not commit a penalty, with Inter head coach Antonio Conte adamant that the Nerazzurri should have been awarded a spot-kick.
The Brazilian took a heavy touch in the area and Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi got to the ball before him, at which point he tripped over Arthur‘s outstretched foot.
“I’m sure it wasn’t a penalty,” Arthur affirmed.
“I saw him coming and I didn’t make a movement.”
Barcelona came from behind to grab the three points and Arthur clearly believes that it will inspire the Blaugrana moving forward.
“It will give us confidence,” he stated.
“We needed it. The victory is very important to continue [on this path].”
Arturo Vidal replaced Sergio Busquets early in the second half, and it is this change that also altered the match in Barcelona‘s favour.
“Every player has a characteristic and he helped us,” Arthur said about Vidal.
“[Ernesto] Valverde perfectly saw what we needed [when he made the change].
“But today the fans have also helped us a lot.”
