Dani Ceballos’ song will only be heard around the Emirates for this season, it seems.
The midfielder had praised his current home ahead of Spain’s European Championship qualifier against Norway, saying the loan move has been an essential step in his career. Ceballos has one goal and two assists in 11 matches since arriving from Real Madrid in the summer. He also made the brave and perhaps somewhat misguided claim that he doesn’t feel sorry for parent club Real Madrid’s current struggles.
However, Ceballos has since backtracked on his original statement and now claims his words were misinterpreted (a likely story).
