The Milan fans will keep coming to San Siro, as they’ll hope to see a convincing win on Stefano Pioli’s first match.

After seven rounds, in which Milan lost four games and won three, the management decided to make a change on the bench: sacking Marco Giampaolo and appointing Stefano Pioli instead.

The journey of Pioli, who previously coached Inter and Fiorentina, with the Rossoneri starts on Sunday at Stadio San Siro as they face newly-promoted side Lecce at 20:45 CEST (Italian time).

As reported by today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport, despite the hardships of Milan so far this season and the fact that the opponent is not top-tier, around 50,000 fans are expected at the stadium for the match against Lecce. Over 2,000 away fans are likely to come and fill the sectors of the guests.

In the last home game against Fiorentina, Milan lost 3-1 and the Curva Sud vacated their seats before the end of the game in protest. Hopefully, such a gesture will not be needed this time.
