Medimix Ayurvedic Everyday Face Scrub Review Photos Price

Today I will be reviewing Medimix Ayurvedic Everyday Face Scrub. Let’s read on to find if it worked or not.Medimix Ayurvedic Everyday Face Scrub Review Photos Price

Exfoliation is a part of every skin care routine but it shows effective change only when done properly. For a standard exfoliating scrub, 2-3 applications a week is considered enough. Gritty scrubs are not at all suitable for people with sensitive or acne-prone skin. Mildly exfoliating daily scrubs shows great results in such skin types.

Daily exofoliators are a hybrid between cleansers and defoliating scrubs. They have cleansing base instead of heavy creamy base of standard scrubs. They also contains limited amount of scrub granules for exfoliation.Medimix Ayurvedic Everyday Face Scrub Review Photos Price

Packaging: This daily scrub comes in a plastic tube with flip-open cap. The packaging is very simple yet sturdy. It’s just the standard packaging in which most face washes and scrubs come. The pack mentions complete ingredients list and detailed usage guide. The packaging is leaf-proof and travel-safe.

Colour & Consistency: The scrub has transparent and colourles sgel base. The sparsely distributed scrub  granules are coloured in bright green. It is practically a gel face wash with just a few scrub particles spread here and there. The gel base is paraben free and creates minimum lather.  Medimix Ayurvedic Everyday Face Scrub Review Photos Price

Fragrance: It has a very light citrus and aloe smell. The mild fragrance does not stay at all. Sensitive nose people will like this daily scrub.

Quantity & Price: This daily scrub is priced at Rs.115 for 100ml. This is the only size available as of now. Most ayurvedic face washes in the budget-friendly category comes around Rs.100-120 for 100ml. So, the price seems okay considering the quantity. This one pack will last for 3-4 months if used once a day.

My Overall Thoughts:

My combination skin loved gel based face cleansers. That is why I invested in this mild vegan face cleanser. I have used couple of other daily scrubs in the past including Himalaya. Frankly speaking, their exfoliation power did not impress me a bit. The same happened with this one as well.

The amount of scrub particles are so low that they do next to nothing in terms of exfoliation. However, the gel base of this works perfect as a mild face cleanser for my skin. It does not dry out my skin yet removes oil, dirt and other superficial impurities quite well. My skin does not cry out for moisture after washing my face with it.

Still I apply a bit of moisturizer to keep the moisture level intact. I have acne prone skin. This wash did nothing to the existing pimples but it did not aggravated them as well. I love using washable makeup. This one alone is enough to get rid of them. It can be said that, this is a good quality face wash but not an effective exfoliator for my skin.

Parachute Advanced Aloe Vera Enriched Coconut Hair Oil Review Photos

It is not possible for me to prepare the homemade aloe oil everytime I oil my hair. So, I bought Parachute Advanced Aloe Vera Enriched Coconut Hair Oil instead. Here’s my take on this hair oil.Parachute Advanced Aloe Vera Enriched Coconut Hair Oil Review

My relationship with coconut oil has always been great. I don’t know why I get so much hair fall whenever I am using almond oil but coconut oil works great in supplying nourishment to my already dry hair. I have wavy-curly hair. Naturally my hair is dry and gets damaged easily.

I have been trying to boost the growth of my hair and that’s why I started using Parachute Advanced Aloe Vera Enriched Coconut Hair Oil. Aloe vera and coconut oil combination does wonders to my hair.

About Parachute Advanced Aloe Vera Enriched Coconut Hair Oil

Combining the goodness of coconut with the magic of Aloe Vera, Parachute Advanced Aloe Vera Enriched Coconut Hair Oil makes hair stronger, softer and silkier from root to tip.Parachute Advanced Aloe Vera Enriched Coconut Hair Oil Review

Packaging: It comes in a see-through plastic bottle. The bottle has a flip-open cum screw lid. The packaging is sturdy but there is a little leakage fromt he screw portion of the lid. It might be the issue of this particular bottle. The sandard packaging comes with complete ingredient list.

Colour & Consistency: This is a transparent colourless hair oil. The texture is medium; neither very thick like pure coconut oil nor thin like dry oils. It is a type-3 quality hair oil which means it is a blend of natural oil with mineral oil. This oil is not particularly a non-greasy formulation but it is not viscous like castor oil.

Fragrance: It has the signature smell of coconut oil. It also contains added fragrance. The added fragrance is very light, almost not noticable due to strong smell of coconut oil.

Quantity & Price: This oil comes at Rs.75 for 150ml. Two more sizes are also available. The travel-size costs Rs.39 for 75ml and the family size is priced at Rs.120 for 250ml. This is one of the pocket-friendly hair oils in Indian market. I have waist length hair and I use it 2 times a week. The medium size will last 3-4 months in my case. So, the price is justified.

My Overall Thoughts:

I always check online reviews before trying out any new skin or hair care product. For this aloe vera enriched hair oil I found mixed reactions over the web. It worked wonders for some while others said it did nothing to their hair. Coming to my own experience, it did make a difference to my hair’s nourishment level.

Parachute Advanced Aloe Vera Enriched Coconut Hair Oil is a 50-50 blend of coconut oil and liquid paraffin mixed with aloe extract. Naturally, it is not as thick as pure coconut oil. Still, it is thick enough for heavy oiling. It is not a very light oil like Parachute Jasmine.

Right now, I am applying it twice a week. I oil my dry hair with it and give myself a relaxing head massage. I keep it on my hair overnight and the next day I wash it off with a shampoo suitable for dry hair. If my hair feels greasy I sometimes use a clarifying shampoo as per the need.

Though I condition my hair afterwards, someone with oily to normal hair might skip the step. I didn’t notice extra hairfall with it. It makes my hair smoother to some extent and manageable. I won’t say there was magical change in my hair’s texture but it is a decent hair oil for deep oiling treatment.

Aroma Magic Clary Sage Moisturising Lotion Review Photos Price

This review is about Aroma Magic Clary Sage Moisturising Lotion. This is a petrochemical, pthalate and paraben free day moisturizer for combination skin with SPF15. Let’s read on to find more about this moisturizer.Aroma Magic Clary Sage Moisturising Lotion Review

Moisturizing your skin regularly is the best way to keep multiple ageing related skin issues at bay. Studies have shown that, people who moisturize their skin regularly and wear proper  sun protection get ageing related skin issues later than who do not. Not every moisturizer is perfect for everyone.

You need to understand your skin and its needs better if you want to maximize the benefits of any skin moisturizing product. Also, the moisturizer needs to be free from harmful chemicals otherwise, it might cause other skin issues instead of curing your skin.

About Aroma Magic Clary Sage Moisturising Lotion

Aroma Magic Clary Sage Moisturising Lotion is rich in natural vitamins, minerals and fatty acids and the combination of Kokum butter, Aloe vera juice and Olive oil help to nurture and deeply hydrate the skin. The exotic blend of Neroli, Clary sage and Rosewood essentials oils together with extracts of clary sage, help to preserve the moisture in the skin.

Their alliance keeps the skin calm and rejuvenated with each passing day. Extracts of Fennel and Lemongrass revive dull and tired skin to leave you refreshed and your skin reinvigorated.

Features:

1. Has SPF 15

2. 100% free of petrochemicals, phthalates, toxic ingredients, parabens, artificial fragrance and color

Packaging: This moisturizer comes in a transparent pump bottle. The bottle has a tiny clear cap to secure the pump. The packaging has complete ingredient details along with the claims. The tall and sleek bottle is travel-friendly. Since this moisturizer is free from preservatives, it can get contaminated easily. Keep the cap shut immediately after using and always store the bottle in somewhere dry.Aroma Magic Clary Sage Moisturising Lotion Review

Colour & Consistency: This moisturizer is pure white in colour. Aromamagic only uses foodgrade colour. This one also has the same in the ingredients of this particular moisturizer. Consistency wise, it is a runny lotion but not watery. It is quite creamy. So, this one moisturizes the dry areas of combination skin. The formula is moderately oily; neither too greasy nor weightless mattifying.

Fragrance: The moisturizer has a very light floral smell. This fragrance is created using essential oils; no artificial fragrance has been used. The smell is very light and stays only for a couple of minutes.

Quantity & Price: This moisturizer costs Rs.190 for 100ml. It also has a 200ml pack which is priced at Rs.320. This is a moderately priced moisturizer in he budget friendly category. But, this is one of the cheapest yet good quality product among the vegan, paraben, pthalate and cruelty free ranges.

My Overall Thoughts:

I have acne-prone skin and comedogenic skin care products are fear factors for my skin. I only buy moisturizers that are light on the skin. This Aromamagic moisturizer was an impulse buy. I was using their mineral glow scrub for the body and loved it. So, I decided to buy this one in an online sale.

This looks like a runny lotion but it feels quite oily on the skin. I used to apply this after cleansing and toning. It left my skin very oily and uncomfortable. So, I started to skip toner while using this. Still, the skin felt oily. I then decided to shelf it for winters.

In winter, my skin felt rejuvenated for a couple of hours with this but then the t-zone felt oily while the rest of the dry parts remained moderately dry. On regular use I started getting clogged pores. Finally I stopped using this on my face and used in as a body lotion instead. It did not gave body acne though. I feel this moisturizer would be more suitable for dry skin.

Lakme Blush & Glow Face Wash Strawberry Blast Review Photos

Formulated by Lakme Salon experts, Lakme Blush & Glow Face Wash Strawberry Blast provides radiance and glow along with deep cleansing. Fruit anti-oxidants and beads in this wash cleanse your skin washing away dirt and other impurities.Lakme Blush & Glow Face Wash Strawberry Blast Review Photos

About Lakme Blush & Glow Face Wash Strawberry Blast

Lakme’s skin care range comes up with a number of good quality pocket-friendly face washes under thge name of Blush & Glow. I love fruit based skin care products and that’s why I didn’t waste any time to put this wash in my shopping cart on my last trip to the local departmental store.

Years ago, Lakme had a fruit based face wash range called ‘Fruity Blast’. I used to love the strawberry face wash from that range. This time also I invested in the strawberry variant. I wanted to see if there is any difference in this new or if this one is old wine in bew bottle. After using it for the past two week I can assure you, they are not at all same. Let’s read on to know some more on this face wash.

Packaging: This face wash comes in a red plastic tube with flip top cap. The body of the tube is kept translucent. It allows users to see how much product is left. Quality of the packaging is quite good and travel-friendly.

The squeeze tube dispenses desirable amount of product. There is no spillage or leakage. The brand has mentioned the detailed ingredients list. The label graphics of the packaging gives it a fresh fruity vibe.

Colour & Consistency: The face wash is pale red in colour. There are tiny granules dispersed in the wash. The granules are colourless so they do not stand out in the bright red  face wash.

However, they are pretty ineffective in terms of providing exfoliation. The face wash has medium thick gel texture. Though there is sulphate in the ingredients, it do not produce thick lather. It washes off the excess oil without drying out my skin.

Fragrance: The face wash has a mild smell of fresh berry, citrus and mint. The fragrance is unique. The smell adds a freshening vibe to every wash I take with it. The mild fragrance stays only for a short time.Lakme Blush & Glow Face Wash Strawberry Blast Review Photos

Quantity & Price: This face wash costs Rs.205 for 100gm. There is two more size available for this wash. The smaller size costs Rs.105 for 50gm and the 150gm size comes at Rs.299.

Lakme face washes are slightly expensive than most easily available budget-friendly face wash brands like Himalaya, Clean & Clear or Everyuth though their ingredient list is very similar. These face washes come for good discounts at online and offline sales.

My Overall Thoughts:

I use acne medications so my skin gets dry easily. That’s why I use medicated face wash once in the day. For the other time, I use this face wash. I like gel face washes because they are not harsh yet they provide deep cleansing. I was using a clean & clear face wash before but that one is about to finish.

So, I started with this strawberry one. It is thicker than most gel based face washes. It is milder as well. It creates almost no foam but cleanses the skin extremely well. The skin does not feel dry or stretchy afterwards. The wash smells very fresh and creates mild tingles on the skin. I love such menthol based cooling face washes. It is going to be my summer favourite.

I have also used the Fruit Blast Strawberry face wash from Lakme. This Blush & Glow variant is thicker in formula, more mild and moisturizing. The cooling sensation is also a new thing in the Blush & Glow face wash.

My Overall Thoughts:

Last year my skin was going through severe acne. That’s when I bought this green apple based face wash. I have also tried the strawberry and lemon variant from this range but the green apple one is my favourite. I have repurchased it 3-4 times already and looks like I will be buying another bottle soon.

I use this face cleanser twice a day; once in the morning and once at night. Sometimes I skip my regular salicylic acid based face wash for this. This is a mild and non comedogenic face wash. The formula does not dry out my skin like the original Clean & Clear foaming face wash. I follow it up with a moisturizing toner and a light moisturizer.

It does not irritate the active pimples. It actually helps in drying them faster. The wash is good in quality but its scrub beads are pretty useless. The particles are scanty in the wash and they do not even do anything regarding exfoliation. Harsh scrubbing is not good for acne prone skin. I would have loved the wash more if it was free from those tiny granules.
